In 6-8 weeks I will be bringing home my baby Sun Conure, who will be weaned completely. The breeder is picky about when they go home :). He's hand fed and I've been stopping by the breeders every other day to interact with him and the other (I have a choice of 2) A few questions about helping the little one settle in right.

I have 2 cages, 1 that holds my GCC right now and a larger one (that's about 2 times the size of the other). Should I start him in the smaller first?

He's already people oriented but what is best to help him ease in at the new home and still be comfortable with me?

When choosing 1 of the 2 babies should I go with the louder more 'I am here pick me up' one or the somewhat quieter, loves to be in contact but more laid back?

How long should I wait, and how should I start introduction with my GCC who is 6 months?

To help with cage aggression, this is for my GCC, should I occasionally swap cages so they don't get super attached to one cage?

ANY tips on helping raise a friendly and happy Sun Conure after weaning would be APPRECIATED :D

Congrates on your future bird! I can'y help with all your questions (but someone can I'm sure), but in terms of picking, go with whichever one you take a shine for. Quiet and laid back now might change when he's home and feels comfortable enough to let loose; Loud now might mellow out at a forever home; you can't be 100% sure. Either way, whichever you like and you feel is the most relaxed/non-skittish around you, is probably your best bet.
Goodluck

I can't really answer the questions but I agree with ZephyrFly. My Jenday was so quiet before we brought her home. She never made loud noises. On the first full day home she found her voice. [emoji6]

Pepper is both cuddly and sassy. She was the quiet one when we met her but now she's a nut.
