Has anyone ever considered adding a breeding section on the forum? I know myself and many others have posted a lot of questions about breeding and I always feel kind of out of place posting these things under the species specific forums. Just an idea :D

I think it's a great idea... I'll retire in a couple of years, and I had planned to do a bit of hobby breeding...

On Thursday evening, I got my first pair of Green Cheek Conures, which are male and female, and sold as a breeding pair...

I think it's a great idea as well since there are so many questions, and they get spread all over the forum. That way the breeders here who want to help would find them easier as well.

A Breeding section would be awesome.

Did this happen?

Yes I second, third and fourth that idea! :)

Several other bird forums I visit also lack a breeding forum. Lets be the first here to have one.

I wanted to bring attention to this idea again. Questions are spread all over the forum and many people need urgent help, but our breeders here don't always go in each section (don't blame them). I've also gotten quite a few PMs asking for help, but I'm not a breeder and not equipped to help.

Of course I would also like for breeders to not sell unweaned babies to inexperienced owners, but the fact of the matter is the bird is already with it's new owner, and they usually need help with what to do.

Hi, I like the idea. I fully endorse your point on unweaned babies. Further I am angered by the foolish wannabe breaders that put a male and female together as if they were mammals. I shudder at the advertisement "proven pair" ( As I have purchesed a "proven pair" that were both males. Howeve,r I do have a DNA certificate for a male that lays eggs? Both the person who observed the proven pair and the person sending the blood sample increase my sceptacisim. D.D.
