Breeding Boxes

Hi All
Does anyone know where I can get plans for L shape nesting boxes for Indian ring necks? from the net I have looked everywhere

If you're handy at building & reading drawings, the above links & attached photo should be no problem for you. Something none of the pics or drawings offer is insight on hanging/mounting on your cage, so you need to give that a lot of consideration before constructing something that might be too heavy for the cage, without supports or legs. The drawing was included because there is enough info there to design & add a toe for the boot.

The one time I built a nestbox, I built it with legs, removed a extra feeder door & mounted it to the cage with stainless steel nuts & carriage bolts, with the heads on the inside of the cage. Some of the boxes displayed in the links show access doors, but not the excluder doors on the inside of the cage to keep parents out of the box when you are checking on eggs/chicks.

Another thing many of the displayed boxes don't show are ladder provisions inside the box.....for parents and fledging chicks to exit & return to the box.

If you get stuck, send me pics of your cage, showing it as it will set in your bird room, along with a copy/pic of the box you're looking at & I'll help you with a rough drawing along with parts & materials suggestion.
