Hey guys,

Im new with lori and would like to ask the noobest question :p.
Can black cap mate with yellow bibbed? The seller told me that it is possible.
I need advise regarding this :)..thx..

Anything can mate with anything. Auggie regularly mates with his happy-hut.

The question is will any offspring result. With these two lories it is likely - but why would you breed them?

dun intend on breeding them..just want to know :)..im very noob..why would i take the risk..thx for the info

Auggies Dad I loved that reply i have a budgie who regularly does it with a perch and I swear one day he will either start pooping wood chips or have splinters in his bum one of the two LOL

People should never mix species this is the worse thing when they mix because sadly there will be NO more parrots and if folks continue mixing up parrot species well there will never be new ones of the original clean genes to breed.
Please also take a second and educate the Breeder as it seems at least you had the knowledge to ask which sadly they do not.
I just went through helping a woman recently with a breeder who was selling hybrids and swearing they were in fact a certain species

Oh and many times when mixing species you will get what is a Mule meaning they can not reproduce
