Sometimes after dinner Steven and I usually have a cup of coffee, specially now during our winter months.

Mishka has got a red mug (plastic of course) which I fill with either fruit juice or water.

After Steven had drunk his coffee he placed the mug on the floor (typical young man)

I was busy in the kitchen and heard Steven laughing hysterically.
I peeped through (open plan) and saw Mishka dragging Steven coffee mug straight up to his cage.
Once at the cage he placed his head inside the mug trying so desperately to get a sip of coffee. This carried on for about 5 minutes, then he gave up.
Then he dragged the coffee mug back to where Steven was sitting and politely said "you a...hole"

I was in stitches just knowing how furious Mishka was not getting a single sip, after dragging it all the way to his cage.

Sure Mishka did not think it was hilarious at all

OHHHHH, SORRY!!! I thought you said he did get a sip. I was thinking that he had dragged it all the way to his cage and taken a sip then given it back and thats why it was funny. Now I feel like the real A..hole here :(

OMG, that is just priceless, Ant! I'm not laughing at Mishka's disappointment....but what Mishka said to Steven. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Lol! Thank you for the laugh!

I love that not only did he bring the cup to his cage but then brought it back. The fact that he then told your son what he thought of him for finishing the coffee is the icing on the cake!!! Mishka is such a funny guy...even when he is ticked!

Oh! Mishka never lets us down, does he? I wonder what it is about coffee?

I've posted before about my birds going ballistic over it, to the point where they'll strafe your cup in the hope of a tiny sip. We simply can't have coffee when the Beaks are abroad: it's just too dangerous with hot liquid in danger of being sloshed everywhere. Tonight, we found that even Dominic has a penchant for coffee as he tried to sidle up to a cup and grab a beakful on the QT. It must be like catnip is to cats, I guess.

Please reassure Steven that no one thinks he's an @r$ehole: Mishka only said it in a state of passion when his coffee habit was frustrated.

I wish I had got it on video
Mishka said it with such a spiteful voice

In one of the vid's for the advert, Mishka was saying sireeen instead of siren, I corrected him saying it correctly and making the sound...
LoL he replied oh ohhhh mommy is a
a...hole

Mishka know exactly what he is saying believe me........

LoL Mishka acted like a gentleman even though he was "ticked"

What amazes me is he pulls his potty all the way to his cage, sometimes to poopie other time just for the fun of it. He has never pulled the potty all the way back to where it was.

He just gave Steven a piece of his mind :22:

Sorry I have to disagree with you Mishka is correct Steven is an @r$ehole for leaving the coffee mug on the floor ;)

I reckon birds go ballistic over coffee due to the smell AND they know they are not allowed have any because it is highly toxic and dangerous for them.
Each day when Mishka sees my coffee mug, he says mommy is drinking coffee ummmmmm and makes a yummy sound. He has often asked where is my coffee and you making me coffee

Such true words spoken
I actually ran and got the camera, by the time I had loaded the batteries and set it, it was all over.

When finishing my coffee tonight I place the coffee mug on the floor.
Mishka practically jumped off his play stand got get to the mug.
I had the camera ready to video him.
When approaching the mug he looked inside gave the mug one hard push with his beak and walked back into his play pen. He sat on his play pen with his back facing us........ I know he is still upset

He is such a character! Always keeps you laughing, doesn't he? It's like the researcher I interviewed about Ag's says - they are like permanent toddlers but with a better vocabulary!

That would be a hilarious video to see!!!!!

Many years ago when we were sitting down watching a movie while sipping on some wine. I put my glass on the side table and we walked outside for a smoke while Willie was on his cage playing. Then when we came back inside, Willie had made his way on the floor, climb up the couch and was sipping on my wine. I freaked out when I saw him sipping on my wine. So I ran to him to pick him up, he goes mmmmmmmm that's good. I put him back on his cage and for the rest of the night he was being a super super funny bird. I guess he was kinda drunk....He say some of the funniest stuff, dancing, twisting his head around, acting funny. He was one happy bird I tell you. We still laugh about it til this day that Willie was a drunk bird. Since then we're pretty careful about where we put stuffs so he don't get ahold of it....lol....
