My baby is 3 months old. He was hand feed per the breeder. How do I bond. I am a working mom. I try to spend time daily. Help please

Welcome. What is your new baby? There's lot's of information here about bonding. #1 is give lot's of attention, this can be as simple as reading aloud, listening to music, watching TV and more. #2. Plan your attention around your work schedule. This will decrease separation anxiety between the two of you. #3. Look up here and other sites about the basic personality of your baby. #4. Then look up basic food diet. They need fresh veggies, fruits included. There's plenty of opinions about using pellets. Read and decide. My preference is Harrison's and my veggie chop. Others like a different brand or none. #5. Look up parrot safe toys, cages etc. I wish you luck. FYI: I was single parent working 12 hr shifts, for about 15 yrs until kid went into army. Then worked until retired. So while it may not be easy, it can be done. I had little problems with work schedule and my African grey.

Great advice above!

Here are some threads that I've saved that folks have found helpful.

Time is most important for bonding and quantity is more important than quality. When you have any down time to relax try to be in the same room as your bird and sit close whether he's inside or outside his cage. If his cage is portable or if you have another cage take him with you from room to room. Watch TV or read next to him.
