Blue Throated Conures?

I came across one of these birds for sale on Kijiji for $650. I hadn't heard of these birds before now, does anyone have any experience with them? My house is full now, but I she's sooo tempting!

No, I've never heard of them! Not once, I guess they're rare? Beautiful though.

Yeah, I was doing some research. Apparently they're very rare in the wild, but breed well in captivity. There's not a lot of information on them.

If you ask anyone in the USA about them, chances are, no one will know!

However, they are available in Canada and Australia. They are a large Pyrrhura conure, and I'm jealous of the fact that they aren't available in the USA!


These photos may show their size, but they are supposed to be around 90 grams, give or take

They are beatiful! If I could have a rare conure though it would have the be the Queen of Bavaria Golden Conure. Love them!
