Black Cockatiel..

...has anyone ever seen one??? Amy and I were at the pet shop today looking around and in a cage with their 'tiels, there was an ALL BLACK one! Head,hat,body..ALL BLACK! I almost bought him lol.
I'll try to get back there tomorrow to get a couple pics...I'm not making this up REALLY!

I don't think it is possible - some people dye white birds to other colors which are impossible to get. That's common with budgies but also is possible with other birds

Wow, I can’t wait to see photos, Jim! I’ve never seen or heard of a black cockatiel. When you and Amy go back to the shop for photos, please interrogate the owner or manager to find out where this bird came from. You know according to what you find out you may need to adopt this mysterious bird.

I do know that cockatiels that carry the dominate silver mutation can appear almost black when they are babies, it's a mutation in which the bird lightens with each molt for the first few years so they aren't truly black. Possibly something like this is the case, where it's actually a super dark grey?
