Hi all!!!

I got a green cheek at the end of June, named Chai. His hatch date is April 3. I've noticed that when I put him to bed and cover his cage (between 9-10pm, depending on how fast I move) he sits in there and makes little noises, almost like 'brrrrreet', where it goes up at the end. I want to make sure he's not having any sort of scared reaction. I attached a picture of him before I made him window perches and ladders.

Not quite the same as covering a cage, but: when we turn the lights off in the bird room, it's normal for our birds (Sun Conure, Cockatiels, and Budgies) to still make a few soft chirps (we might hear them if we walk past the room). Our Sun Conure will mumble gibberish.

Perfectly normal behavior. Ever know a child to go right to seep when you shut the lights off? Just try to keep the room fairly quiet.
