Hi, again. I was curious about bird-safe plants. Is it safe to have plants in your bird cage? If so, which ones? I have heard that california poppies, boston ferns, wheat/cat grass, spider plants, and several herbs are non toxic, safe, and potentially beneficial. Thoughts?

I'd agree with that.

here is a list
Do you think it is safe to have some of the non toxic plants in the birds cage, for enrichment and such, or is it better not to?
I have several house plants that I know are toxic (golden pothos, monstera, snake plant) so will keep those well away from my parakeet for sure!

I would say no. Normal shredding and foraging toys are good.

Ok. Is there a reason behind that? Is it unsafe, or just not necessary? I appreciate your help!
Just unnecessary, honestly. If the bird likes plants though, go ahead

here is a list
edit:
removed since it has false info
ok i see that the list has some false info (stating that avocadoes are safe for birds and more)
ill give you another one..
if you can get this (its free) that would be very good
