Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well! So, what cookware do you all use? I've read that ceramic is a great non-stick alternative, but of course, some reviews are pretty horrible. Any good suggestions?

Thanks (again),
Erica

Mostly anything that is PTFE/PFOA free.

This could be stainless steel, cast iron, hard anodized aluminum (may be made with PFOa, but it's supposedly baked out in the process?), glass dishes, ceramic dishes, ceramic coated cookware.

If the item says it's non-stick but doesn't say how it's non-stick, avoid it! If it says PFTE-Free then it may be fine! Cast iron is non-stick if you take care of it properly.

I mostly use hard anodized aluminum pans (from Costco.... PTFE free kind) or glass bakeware and occasionally cast iron. I'm not much of a chef (generally speaking, I hate cooking! unless I'm making something for the birds!), so stainless steel is above me! LOL

Thanks so much for your input. I'm heavily leaning toward cast iron. I'm sure it will outlast anything that new on the market today. My Bed Bath, and Beyond coupons are about to start coming in handy.

The new stuff is kind of cruddy compared to the older stuff. I stalk thrift stores to find the older stuff and strip and re-season it. But the process of stripping it is pretty harsh, so you'll want to have your birds out of the house while you do it and for a long while afterwards.

My choice for everything else is stainless steel.
