Hi all! I'm planning on making my own play stand for my soon-to-be Jenday conure. I was just wondering is big leaf maple safe for birds? With proper sanitizing of course.

Yup big leaf Maple is good. Also look into 3d printing. I know a bunch of people who are making some awesome custom stuff for their parrots using it. If you have a University close by and some spare time, give them a visit, most likely they have a printer lying around. All the best!
