As you all know my family is going through a hard time with my dad having cancer finding this out has knocked all the family in a bad way but it has affected me and my brother in a really bad way last week my brother almost lost his finger at work due to not being able to focus right well I have come off much worse tonight I was at a friends helping him fix the car and as i was moving out from under it I must have knocked the quick releases switch on the jack and the car has come down and landed on my leg any ways I have been to the hospital and had it X-rayed and the doctor confirmed that it is broken with all the stress I'm going through with my dad at the moment it wasn't a good choice to help out with my friends car but I'm to nice and always feel I need to help I know it was a bad move on my part as I payed the price but it will heal on the bright side of things tho if anyone gets on my nerves I can at least hit them with my crutch :D :p

Ouch! I'm so sorry. About your Dad and your stress and your leg. Sorry again. Get better soon!

I will heal up fine its not the first time I have broken my leg but as i have said to my mam atleast its my leg and not my arms other wise I'd be unable to handle jinx when i get him and georgie.

Very positive way to look at it. Keep looking at things with that attitude!

I'm one who always looks at things in a positive way and I'm not one for conflict the way I see it being nice to others gets you good things in return being a jerk to others gets you nowhere in life :)

I'm so sorry! Sending healing thoughts your way!
My dad did this once with our Plymouth Valiant station wagon. My mom was joking about it later and said, "You're supposed to bounce babies on your knees, not cars!"

Its nice to know family can make a joke of these things just like the other day when my brother almost lost his finger at work my mam said well if it did happen your brother could look on the bright side as i wouldn't have to worry about getting the middle finger anymore :D lol

That's a crushing blow, Paul. Really sorry for you.

Don't ever never let anybody crawl under a car that doesn't have jackstands backing up the jack. And don't ever jack up a car without wheels chocked.

For you females, jackstands and wheel chocks are great gifts for that weekend mechanic, if he doesn't have them already. Check on him, and be a nag if he gets careless.

Lol yeah I would have asked my missus for them but as i said before i don't have a girl lol its just me the family my friends on hear and my best friend who lives near me who I grew up with but as i said it was my own stupid fault I felt the need to help and I payed the price.

I hope you heal quickly! I've dealt with casts/crutches/braces on my leg my entire life (and will for the rest of my life) I know how much not fun it is. How old are you again? Will you be in school on crutches?

No I left school at the age of 16 I'm 24 now and this is the 5th time I have been in a cast and on crutches due to a broken leg and i feel your pain its no fun being stuck this way for a length of time or in your case for life :(

24.............Geez, I'm feeling older now :52:

Paul, just take care of your body, I am feeling the pains from not taking care of mine. And remember I told you this.......When you get older, things take a LOT longer to heal! :(

Hi Paul, my thoughts are with you and your family during this time. And I applaud your positive outlook on the situation. May God be with your dad and heal him completely.

I'm sorry Paul :(. If you need to talk or To vent ,I'm here :)
If you need a good laugh , I probably can help there as well, lolol.
Here's a sample ,I was taking my goats to see the vet , piled them into my ford explorer .
I stopped at a stop sign and rolled the windows down just a little more and one goat stuck her head out and let out a baaaaa and couple of joggers going by almost ran into tree !
Not something you see everyday I guess :) :) :)

Seriously though , your positive outlook is admirable .
I went through heck with my Mom. She wasn't supposed to survive , but she did :)
Same with my niece , leukemia was supposed to take her life , but she is in complete remission and living life to the fullest :)
Keep up the positive outlook !
I'll be praying for you all .
