BFA vs DYH

HaHa Wendy, looking at Sam on his circle perch and of him beating up on a bottle cap, its like watching Salty ( with less yellow on his head). They do seem to love to vent blood curdling hatred on them bottle caps. Our whole family finds that hysterically funny. Salty's arch enemy is .. bells. The little bells on the end of some toys , in particular. The other day I let him pull the lanyard on the big ol' ships bell we use to signal the crew for dinner. He was in his element!

Atlanta. Yeah there's several zon breeders in your area. Good one in Decatur.

Captain, could you please PM the OP the names of the places you have in mind? Since his post count doesn't allow him to send messages yet, but he can receive them. :)

YOU ROCK, CAPTAIN!!!

I just did a search, for the heck of it. First thing I noticed was a few scammers! One in particular that pops up left and right is tamedparrots dot com. BEWARE! Those are scammers!

If/when in doubt, please don't hesitate to ask, ok?

Yesssss contact info would be great! And you're right, I'm too new to PM! Even breeders in neighboring states are fine with us!

Thank you Ginnybird, we certainly hope it all pays off and we are good enough parents to our little bird

Thank you all for everything, I'm so glad I found this forum :) :)

I'm out of town working for a couple more weeks and don't hsve access to my pc. But it's Cathy at Brightwood Aviary. That's where birdman's Kiwi (panama) came from. I know she has D YHs and not sure what else.

Thanks! I emailed her!

Absolutely, Florida could work, Alabama, Tennessee, the Carolina's, even Kentucky could work. We are always up for a little road trip.

We discussed what has been said here and she agrees that whichever bird seems like a best fit for us is fine. And she also admits that some of the blues are very pretty :green: :54:

Heck. If Florida will work get one from me. I have DYH and magna. No BFAs . I could give a pair a box and have babies in 4 or 5 months. Lol

I have a Mexican Redhead I brought home after a family death. Within 10 minutes of having him, I was scratching head through the bars of his cage. Now understand that is NOT typical bird behavior! However, Buddy, my MRH, picked me and we've been BFFs ever since. Bottom line, let the bird pick you.

There you go

Sorry to hijack this post! Great information! Any reputable zon breeders by Denver? I would love to take the advice here and meet the babies and see who picks who! ;-)
