Benjamin, 40 yo male YNA. My husband has had him since he was a chick.
Lexi, 9 mo old female turquoise IRN.
It's 10 pm and I put Benjamin on his stick. I steeled myself and put my hand out and he stepped up! We did ladders for a few minutes and I put him back in his cage. I feel like we've accomplished something here. My husband, on the other hand, was dubious. He's been in B's life for 38 years, me just 6 but I have more engagement. I feel we've made a lot of progress here. I'm thrilled beyond words!
My question is, is there a time of day you find it more amenable for handling a Hot 3?

Well i obviously dont have an amazon, but Pumpkin is most cooperative in the morning and a few hours before bed. By 10 pm (or even 9) if i tried to pick him up, he would be very angry. I am very glad youre making progress though. Keep building trust.

Yes, like you have discovered, AM and PM are best.

Zilla wants her loving FIRST thing in the mornings before breakfast and then again late afternoon just before dinner, then after dinner she will hang out on my shoulder and loves head petting or neck scratches, but doesn't want to play or be active.

I find training works better for us late afternoons before dinner (mornings would work, but I require coffee before my brain will function and she requires breakfast before I can have coffee!) :D

Congratulations on your progress! I'm glad you are so dedicated to meking his like better!

You have made so much progress. I guess the next step for me would be to have Whisper step up on my arm but no way am I willing to get bit right now. Maybe in a couple of months.
