So last night I got really bored and took a scissors to a small phone book. I cut it into 8 pieces. I then wove it through the bars on my bird's cage. She is having so much fun wrecking it! Better than any toy I've bought lately and completely free other than the half hour it took to cut it!

Free toys are the best! My fids love paper towel cardboard rolls, wine corks, paper cups, raffle tickets, wooden spools, cardboard boxes, and plastic straws.

I never even thought of plastic straws! Or wine corks! New plan!

It was so much fun watching her dismantle the phone book strip. Took her all afternoon and evening.

Great Idea! One of the things our guys really like, I take a piece of computer paper and fold it into an origami box(water balloon), then I stuff the paper box with treats, paper, sisal, straws, anything I can find and hang it in their cages or place it on the bottom. They love tearing them up and pulling all the goodies out :) The boxes are really easy to make, you just fold them up and then blow into the open end and they turn into a box and you can stuff them full of goodies through the hole you used to blow it up.
