Bells and behavior

Bells. My new GCC loves to play with them and try to eat the inside dinger. Should I be worried about her actually eating it? Cockatiels I owned would play with bells but never with such determination to break it. I'm also curious about conure behavior. When she fails to break the bell after several minutes of failing, she'll get frustrated and squawk like crazy. Par for the course? Something that can be managed with training or by removing offending toys like bells?

when I get toys with bells I always just take the dinger thing out of it...if you look most of the bells on the marker aren't well made and the dinger can be easily removed and that can be dangerous. also you don't want to create an undesirable habit

Parkersmom is correct. Bells do have the potential to be dangerous to parrots if they remove the dinger!

You may want to look for bells made for parrots if she loves them so much? These are usually heavy duty bells that are cylinder or rectangular in shape.

This is the kind of bell that I mean. Supposed to be pretty safe!
