Pyper loves this tape roller that he has stolenfrom my grandmother. No one can take that away from him except me even though hes more closely bonded to my dad. It has become a game between pyper and I when ever I walk by the cage I take it put it back together and walk away with it and hell follow me and ill put him back on the cage and walk away with the toy and he comes after me again (he screeches when hes looking to play that game and im not playing with him.) Sort of like tag. But sometime when hes in his cage and I grab the toy from the top hell go to his food bowl and growl and whistle into it whill pickin up and beaking his food then dropping it back into the bowl. What kind of behavior is that?

It just sounds like Pyper is having fun playing a super game with you! :). Just be careful to always return his toy so as not to make him angry and resentful.

Is the paper on the roller birdie-safe? It looks like packing tape?

All thats left is the card bored. He likes to take the roll off so you put it back on for him so he can take it off again. Its completely safe as well as supervised. Im working on finding him better toys to swap that out for.

Amazons like to make-up games. Barney, my DYH likes to play the 'toss' game. She thinks it's the funniest thing to throw things at me and giggles when I throw it back at her. Just have to watch her, though. When she starts flaring her tail, pinning her pupils, and doing the 'Amazon crawl', I'll change the subject by turning my back to her and ignoring her. When she calms down we think of something else to do.
