Haven't posted for a few days....

After breaking a few ribs, and ankle, been taking it a bit easy.
Can't laugh, sneeze, cough or that....

Funny how birds know when your not feeling up to par. They want to snuggle even closer. Poppie said the strangest thing as well, and I didn't
teach her that. After looking at me She said...."what Happen???" Now that's observant thinking before speaking.

Sooooooo, going to kick back for a few days.

Oh my gosh Michael!! I'm sorry to hear that! It must have been excruciating, though I imagine you're on some pretty heavy pain meds :) Get well ASAP!

Yeah well, Fell 14 foot off the rafters of barn when it broke, trying to fix and secure it. The weight shifted.
Knocked the ladder away and down I went. Landing on the ladder.

Anyway, yeah some meds for the ribs to help stay comfortable as it heals.

Oww.. What a scary accident to fall through the air too! How long is the estimated healing time until you can at least get up and resume mild activity again?

Ouch. Ouch and ouch.

I climb ladders and clamber around in my barn all the time and frequently realize just how much it would hurt if something goes wrong,

Here's to quick healing!

Animals are great nurses and companions though, they'll take great care of your spirits if nothing else!

Michael, when you fall, you don't mess around! I'm so sorry you had such an awful accident. Your injuries sound seriously painful. Take it easy and focus on recovery.

Poppie saying, 'what happen,' that's just incredible! They are so aware of everything and their ability to communicate constantly amazes me. Sounds like you have a caregiver with a nice bedside manner and a sense of humor.

OUCH! So sorry to hear you got injured. Luckily, you have a big flock who are all sure to want to comfort you:) And theres nothing quite like the 'love' a bird shows a sick or injured human (especially those amazons, and their lovely amazon musty-scent).

Geez Michael! You did a number on yourself didn't you?! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I'll be on my ladder in the AM working on the pole barn. I'll keep myself much safer remembering your accident. Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah....Poppie Never Ceases to amaze me with her talking ability. Not only that but the ability to reason with words and know it's meaning. it just blows me away sometimes.

The healing is going well...Ankle is still throbs but ribs are not as bad....
takes a few weeks I'm told. But it was a good fall, beam gave away and knocked ladder, 14-16 feet up....

Yeah I did.....oh well, I have good company....my birds are smart to know that I was hurt, they show their concern which really amazed me. How they know just blows me away.

Wow, glad you are beginning to feel better, Michael Don't need to remind you that was a potentially awful fall!

Oh my gosh, Michael!! I'm just now seeing this.

Thanks Wendy,

I actually didn't realize I broke my wrist as well...They had to do a bone graft, some 23 stitches after it was all done.

Here's a photo, just had stiches out.

Man, I guess it was a good fall in the barn.
