So, hope everyone has been well. I havent been able to get on in a while, looking forward to catching up :). We've had some changes.

Rocco - fell in LOVE with a friends mom. I think is was a match meant to be, she had lost her CAG a few years ago, I think Rocco sensed that she was ready for another bird (and I don't think he cared if she was ready or not, he wanted her). He has been living with her for awhile now, was on a trial but its a permanent change, he picked his person. I miss him but visit him on occasion and he could care less if I visit, he LOVES his new mommy. As long as hes happy, I'm happy.

Rosie, we have developed a fabulous relationship. She still prefers my boyfriend but she hasn't bitten me in several months. Its nice having a well rounded bird around that can entertain themselves. Shes such a joy to have.

The aviary is done! It looks amazing! Pics def coming soon, it came out soooo nice :).

Rome, well...its a long story. In short she plucked her chest again, worse than shes ever done and started breaking her skin open. I had a colossal meltdown after two years of dealing with this on and off. We made the decision to send her to a birdy boot camp at a rescue/rehabilitation center for a month. When I made the decision I was at my wits end. I miss her terribly though. We get her back in a few weeks. If anything it has given me some time to breathe and regroup, it was a true melt down. I am going to change her diet to a mix of Goldn'obles I and TOPs and implementing Harrison's rain spray. If it is not organic, free of dyes, or free of any preservatives then it isnt going into her mouth. If this doesnt work I think I will cut out corn and see how she does. All in all I am still optimistic that I will someday find the solution for her, it will be my life's work.

All the non fids are healthy, though my 15yr old lab is really starting to show his age :(. I think we've added a smooth coated border collie to the mix since the last time I've logged in, will have to add some pics of him to the album. Good to be back :D

Welcome back! I hope Rome does better this time around when he comes home. Exactly what do they do at the birdy boot camp????

Welcome back. I am actually new since you've gone away, and as you can see, I love the toos as well. Nice to meet you. :)

Rosie is one of the galahs I've been curious about. Glad she's doing fine! So sorry about Rome! I hope you are able to help him!

At least Rocco seems to be the light of someones life! And Rosie isn't the little devil to you lately!
