Hi, I'm new here, and so this is my first post for questions about Batty, he's 4 years old, he's a super sweet boy, he has bitten everyone in the house but me. He likes to play a game with me where he keeps giving me kisses, he a doll, but we got him from the owner who had him from the time he could go home with them, and for over a year he was basically ignored due to a divorce and some other things his old family struggled with, we got him from them, and his other mom had to leave him with her husband who hated him, when we got Batty he was in pristine condition but mentally he was really jumpy, he hates men but will tolerate my husband and son, he actually follows commands from the men better. But he ignores my commands, I cuddle him and love him and all will be well and then for no reason he gets like really offish with me, and then it will be like old home week and we're buds again, and he like freaks out when I go to work or leave, but when he's mad at me he could care less, also when we got him I would hold him because he was nuts and would fly into stuff and I was worried he would get hurt, so recently we started slowly trimming his wings, to limit flight but so he could be more independent, and he like hates me now, help what am I doing wrong? :greenyellow::blue2:

Hi and welcome.
Thanks for taking this little guy in.
I'm no IRN expert, but there are some here.
While you're waiting to hear from them, I suggest using the SEARCH tab above to look for previous threads on IRN behavior, and your other related topics.
Good luck!

Please explain - you trimmed his wings so he would become more independant? ? That does not make much sense to me, usualy one trims wings so parrots become MORE dependant on people.
