Bath time

Hey guys. I was just wondering, what do your birds do after taking a bath? Do they preen after it? Because my crazy Blu just wipes his beak a bit and then starts flying like a maniac, and of course, screams as well. And since he is all wet, he looks even more crazier when doing it. This usually lasts for around 10 minutes.

clark preens himself, shakes like a dog etc. rubs up against me so I get all wet, ...the usual.

my conure would sit on my lap and let me dab a towel on him to help him dry off. Then he would start preening and generally cleaning himself up for a while

I always get out the blow dryer... saves dry time. Of course... use the lowest setting. Intense preening session comes during and right after.

I put a little heater under where Levi is perched & he chills & naps enjoying the warm air. He’d be afraid of a blow dryer. He hates towels w/ a passion as the vet towels him during exams, nail trimmings, feather clippings etc...

Some of ours preen, others zone out, and a couple try to fly, which doesn't work well wet.
Talli laughs...just sits on his playstand and laughs hysterically.
I think it is an individual thing.
