Didn't see this one in the Amazon Behavior thread...
Amy likes to hang upside down in his cage and mumble. Not words, just Amazon blabber. Is this a sign of a happy bird?

I think it is! Parrots have their own ways of communicating happiness and some of them are pretty unique like Amy's! They just want to display their contentment through pretty interesting body language lol.

Every bird is different (as stated above)! My 'zon does this sometimes too, but because he's being protective. Amy could definitely be happy though :)

It sounds to to me like Amy is having fun and showing off with some acrobatics and chatter. My old Yellow-crowned Amazon George used to do that a lot too.

I am standing firm behind Amy is happy to be home and showing it!

Yup, that is an Amazon being an Amazon, enjoy!

That sounds so cute. Many moons ago, I fostered a Timneh African Grey who did that when she was excited to see us after work. Amy is probably really happy to be home!

I was reading parrot articles on my lunch break today and one of the things explicitly called out in a bulleted list of behaviours was: Hanging Upside Down - as a sign of happiness and emotional comfort in the surroundings :)
