The local pet store I use (small mom n pop place - they hand feed their babies and usually let them ride in pockets and on shoulders while they work the cash register) recently got some baby lovies from their breeder.

One of these babies will be mine - just haven't decided which one yet. I'm still in the "they're ALL so cute!" stage, and haven't hit the "I simply MUST have THAT one!" I will be bringing mine home once it is weaned - I have no intention of traumatizing myself or the poor baby doing otherwise. But until then I am haunting the shop, cooing over the little ones.

Unfortunately, silly me forgot to take pictures earlier, but now I am. Who could resist those cute little faces?

PS. There are actually 5, one is just snuggled under the others. ;)

That's exciting! It will be fun watching them grow and see their personalities. Fun picking one out! Are they Peach faced?

I know, I'm so excited! And that's what I'm waiting on, for them to show a little personality. As far as I know they're all peach-faced (the smallest hasn't gotten much color yet in what little fluff it has). But all the others they've gotten from that breeder have been either peach-faced or the yellow with red faces (sorry, can't recall the name). It's going to be really hard to choose... lol.

What precious little fluff balls! So exciting, I bet if you keep haunting the shop and cooing at the babies, at least one will beg to go home with you. Super cute photos, thanks for sharing.

Next set:

The first set of pics were taken on 1/19. These are from today. And the pinkish blob on the one is actually my hand - the little one let me pick him up, but then clambered about so much that I had to turn my wrist at awkward angles to keep from letting him (her?) fall off.

These are about a week late being uploaded, but I had a family emergency, and as much as I love my furred and feathered friends, humans come first. Anyway, next batch of pics.

And these are the two I'm debating between. One is coming out with sort of dark orange markings and will come running up to anyone who walks by the cage. The other is almost looking like his (her?) face is coming out grey, and will sit there watching me for a minute as I coo at them, THEN come running up. And sit in the corner flapping little wings till I reach in.

Aren't they cute?

How adorable!!! You must be very excited!!!!

AWW! what a great experience it must be to watch your future baby grow up and bond with them before bringing him/her home. Maybe one of the two will pick you, then you will know. :) Thanks for the pictures.

This little one! :smile022::smile022::smile022:
S/he's so pretty. And s/he watches me when I come, then bounces over and flaps those little wings until I pick him/her up.

But THESE pretty babies still need homes. Unfortunately, I can't take all of them. No matter HOW cute they are. :09:

UPDATE:
These are about a week late, but the next post will be more recent.

They accidentally made too much formula, so after feeding time, they let the babies play with the bowl for just a minute. The first pic is my baby, the second is the whole group.
