Okay, I can see them now, weird. The pictures are ADORABLE!! :D

Great pics! Really cute :D. Thanks for posting them.

Hey wharfrat I have a question. When I was "trained" to hand feed I never put my finger in the beak but since bringing my baby home and feeding I found it to be easier and much less messy. I noticed in your pic you had a finger in rearea's beak during a feeding. Is this how you were taught?

When doing the "actual" feeding, no, it was not in her beak. I would hold or steady the beak if needed though. If you'll notice in the pics, the syringe is not in her beak when my finger is.

no, you hold the outside of the beak with your fingers of one hand, then you feed with the syringe in the other. I never put my fingers in the mouth while feeding, and I hand fed all 4 of them. :)

Yup...here I go again...making a mess of myself with the drool. :32: :32:

Those pictures are unbelievably precious and beautiful. :D INSTASMILE. :D

How old was she when you picked her up, and how many feedings was she on? 3, 4? Or did you just feed when the crop was empty?

Thank you SO SO much for digging these up. AWESOME!!!!

she was 2 mos. old when I brought her home, she was on 3 a day, my breeder was a strong believer in strict scheduling of feed times and I just mimicked her schedule. As I stated before, she keeps a journal of all her babies with daily feeding amounts and weight, I just continued with ReaRea in the same journal on the same data. Oh and she also included what was fed, like when she started introducing organic baby food and what flavors as well. :)
