Doctor did an Ultrasound and baby is so big!!! And very, very active. Throwing its arms and legs around, attempting to grab at my belly and flexing fingers, lifting its head to blindly look around, gnawing on..something..imaginary lol. And nice strong heartbeat.

YAY! I'm happy. Have to keep an eye on things though and on Doctors orders must not over work myself or do too much exercising like jogging/walking too much/etc.

Thanks everyone :) you're all so incredibly lovely and supportive.

Doc thinks the cramping may be because the baby is so strong and active, so i may have an Irritable Uterus again.. Which probably means another pregnancy of Threatened Preterm Labour episodes. However not sure of the clots, hence why i have to keep an eye on it. My placenta is sitting low but cervix is not open, so its not from that. I just have to be careful.

That is great news! Now.... LISTEN to the Doctor and take it easy!!!

Brilliant news, Kinny! It must be such a relief to see ultrasound pics of a healthy baby and know that everything's coming along nicely. I'm very happy for you and SO glad you got to the doctor. Sending warm wishes to you and your family for the holidays. :)

Thank goodness, I glad you chose to go and get checked out. This is such wonderful news to get before Christmas, it give us even more to be thankful for.

Oh thank you everyone! :) It is very good news! Indeed it does mtdoramike :p

I'm off to the Hospital in half an hour to get my little 6 month old son checked over. He's been unusually grumpy [sudden outbursts of screaming, clutching at ears and head and crying]. He's usually very quiet and happy 99% of the time, with a few grumpy grumbles telling his toys off. His fontanelle was a little swollen earlier, however it's gone down now. But now he has some swelling/a lump on the back of his head and a couple of big blue veins are showing :S

I'm sure he's ok, so don't go worrying yourselves! But I HAVE to make sure whether or not he has an infection. I will make sure to let you know how it goes.

Poor Baby! Please let us know how he is doing.

Oh how awful Mikey! :S

Well ill be off to hospital again in the morning if this continues... Had cramping and low back ache tonight on and off. Then, of course, being me, getting out of the bath i hit my lower left back on the metal soap holder ... -_- I am not having a good day..

Kinny I am so very happy for you, and your baby. there is nothing worse than having issues when your carrying, the stress itself is overwhelming.

please take care of yourself and follow the doctors orders to the letter.

Yep, I knew just from your description what it was, my daughter suffered from ear infections as a baby and toddler. She had an ear infection one time during the holidays with a very high fever and the drive to the on call doctor was 50 miles. Shortly after that episode, her left eye because lazy and it seems the fever affected the muscle of the eye. She still wears correctly glasses for that eye to this day and she's almost 30 years old. So ear infections are nothing to fool around with.

crimson - Thank you *hugs* I thought at least I knew how to deal with an Irritable Uterus after the last pregnancy, but oh gosh this is a little different and honestly, more stressful than the last time. I can't even walk without making the cramps start up.. and I have so much to do (house-work wise) before my family arrives in a few days.. so rest is not an option for me at the moment. Pelvic rest, yes, but not normal rest. :S I feel like a 1st time mum again haha. 1st pregnancy wasn't exactly 'normal'.. it was literally PERFECT. 2nd pregnancy was abnormal, waters breaking twice (yes, tests confirmed it happened) but then after ultrasounds things were fine. I was the Mystery Patient.. Midwives would often be saying "That's impossible.. but it happened... hmmm.. let me go talk to the Doctor."

So I have yet to have a normal pregnancy, and I doubt this one will be normal if all the chaos is starting now. I feel so silly!!!

mtdoramike - Oh my! I never knew they could actually get that bad... then again, it does make sense since ears, eyes, nose and mouth are all connected. :S

waternurse - Thanks! ^^ Thank you :) I hope yours was great too!
