Sully-2 year old cinnamon and Bella-3 year old normal
breeding pair of gcc, Scooter & BeeBee-Sully and Bella's normal son's, Rosey- Bella and Sully's cinnamon daughter, Ella & Sunny-American budgies
Here are a couple of pictures of my babies. From left to right, Beebee(79 grams,5 weeks2 days old, normal split to cinnamon male), Scooter(89 grams,4 weeks6 days old, normal split to cinnamon male), Rosey(69 grams,4 weeks3 days old, cinnamon female). My parents are keeping Beebee but are not sure what to name him, but my dad calls him Beebee, and I am keeping Scooter, he is named Scooter because his preferred method of moving around is scooting backwards.

Oh I know I just want to keep them as babies forever!

They seem HUGE, GCC's are usually 60-80 grams full grown.

They lose weight when they start to fly. That's why they weigh so much, because they start to become more interested in flying so they don't eat as much and lose weight.

Awwwww, they're so cute!!!! cdog is right, they start losing weight during fledge time. The time I don't enjoy them very much......lol......They drive me nuts!

The oldest one already drives me nuts, he would rather explore and play with my ears than eat.

I almost forgot, Beebee ate his first seeds today. He actually shelled millet and ate it, he also ate pre shelled sunflower seeds. He only plays with the pellets though.

He's a quick learner! Some of them just takes forever to learn....It drives me absolutely nuts when they flies all over the house while I'm chasing after them to handfeed...lol....

Oh yes he is definitely a quick learner, if he had all of his feathers I would put him in a real cage because he knows how to perch, pull him self up onto a perch, and he even steps up onto my hand.

The oldest baby, Beebee, started "flying" today. He can go about a foot. I can only get 5 ml of formula in him. He can keep himself warm so I am going to put him in the cage today! I'm so excited, Scooter should be in a cage in the next few days.

How cute!!! I think I'm getting baby bird urges as well lol.
can I ask tho, this may be a stupid question but how do you know their genders so young??

My pair is a cinnamon male and a normal female so they can only have normal split to cinnamon males and cinnamon females babies. I don't have to get them Dna sexed.

The oldest one is eating apples now! He now eats millet, sunflower seeds, and apples.

They are adorable cdog! You really did a great job with them! Just a thought, I know at my high school we had to do a senior project to graduate, if your school has something similar this could be something you could consider doing. I did mine with reptiles, that's how my educational shows got started, when I finally presented my project I took some of the animals with me, I passed with flying colors, they loved it!

That's a good idea IcyWolf, I'm only a sophmore now but I will look into that. I'm not sure if my school does something like that or not.
