Baby Congo with foot problems

Today I purchased a 5 month old weaned baby Congo. She seemed very sweet and easy to handle, which is exactly what I was looking for. When I got her home and put her on her perch, I noticed that her left foot wasn't grasping onto the perch. I thought it was just her big middle toe because it looked like it had some food or something stuck on the bottom, so I cleaned it up and watch her some more. Now I notice that the whole foot won't grasp. She can walk on it and she can sit on the perch but her foot is flat on the perch.

I did call the person that I purchased her from who told me that they never noticed the issue????

She is eating and drinking well.

I am going to call the Vet tomorrow to see about an appointment but I wondered if anyone had seen this in a young bird. I read about older birds with tumors or problems causing this but not too much on young ones.

Any words or information would be really appreciated.
Thanks...

Congrats on getting a new Grey.
Can you take a picture of her foot? Good that you are taking her to vet anyways.
By the way how do you know it's a girl?

tell the seller they are paying for the vets visit and request they meet you there.
