Hi today I had a bit of upsetting news a lady who bought a baby BCC from me last year called and asked if I could take him back. I make a contract and ask people if they can not take care of their bird anymore or circumstances change that they bring their bird back to me, so I can try to re-home the bird. I have never had a bird come back to me before so not doing to bad on choosing the right owners. ( I am not silly I know that some have probably have been passed on). Anyway he made his arrival at 10 am today and he is just as beautiful as they day he went last July. My family have decided that Jacko is going to be a keeper. He is very loud as he has had to scream for attention , the lady told me she had stopped getting him out as he was eating her wall paper and the children had grown to dislike him landing on them. So now we start the retraining and learning manners all over again. While we make every effort to ensure that our babies go to good homes ( not for one moment am I saying he did not go to a good home ) their is obviously the home that has not looked in to having a pet properly. So this season I am going to have make sure that I choose potential owners who have thought well and hard about taking their baby home.:(

Sad to hear. As much of a terror Loco is sometime I could never give her up. I did a lot of reading about them before I purchased the bird which was the right thing to do. Maybe you could find a nice info sheet or something and make sure potential owners had read it first or something?

I'm sorry about the news. As much as I get mad at my two sometimes it would feel empty without them. We can no longer have blinds in the bird room.

It is sad I always give a info sheet prior to putting people on a waiting list. It is such a shame he really does not want to leave his cage at all, my little girl is so thrilled he is back so it is just perseverance and giving him back some confidence. People do not realize the damage they do with ignorance.

[QUOTE=peg53;6426hi ya how wonderful:D the owner felt she could turn to u in her change of mind hes back with you and and ive read they never forget the people who love them so good luck with retraining :grey:
