Hi,

My Amazon is 3 months old and she has this habit of playing with her tongue. I looked online it says that she might feel hot or something but she seems to be doing it whether it’s hot or cold.

She’s not panting at all, and I spoke to a vet and they said it’s normal and so is other breeder. I just wanted to see other opinion if this behaviour is normal…

wow that does look like panting.
I haven't seen my birds do that.

I have seen my amazon's pant after being handled at the vet's office.

If your vet says it's nothing to worry about I would just keep an eye on it. It does seem strange to me.

It doesn’t sound like she’s panting, because I’ve heard she’s panting. It’s kinda like she’s playing with her tongue:/

The problem is… it’s summer here in Aus🥲🥲

And whenever it’s hot, I always have aircon on and she always around me and my dog (yes, we’re a value pack) so if it’s getting hot, I’ll start to get sweaty or my dog will start panting or if it’s too cold (air con wise) my dog will curl into a small tiny floffy cocoon he is
