So today we are gonna get my bird thelma to the vet! Ive heard bloodwork can be stressfull for small birds but in not sure if they will do that, if the vet wanna suspect an issue they will do bloodwork. I dont really know, The only issue is her noisy breathing. So ive had booked an vet appointment, but im really nervous becuse some said that birds die when they take them to a vet. How are your experiences? And i have a parrotlet that i may think have a respitory infection and i dont know how vet diagnose them in this situations. Is it stressful for them?
Thankyou so much!!!!Wishing you good luck with your vet visit.

As the weather gets colder, and my heating system (hydronic baseboard) runs more, my house gets drier and drier. I now have 6 humidifiers to keep the humidity in the mid- to upper forties during the coldest part of winter. In winter it’s difficult to maintain a high enough humidity level with lowered temperature.
We have humidier and keep it clean wi clean filters.
My avian vet has an amazing way with parrots. I have seen her handle dozens, as I take mine and I take some on behalf of my local rescue. Barbara Heidenreich had a great podcast about fear-free vet exams. So ive had booked an vet appointment, but im really nervous becuse some said that birds die when they take them to a vet.
