For Those Members in The eastern Michigan area ( Frankenmuth),
Spotted a large Cockatoo that briefly flew into our back yard.
My wife and I were having our coffee outside with two of our parrots when
both made an alert call.
This white bird flew down low and landed in the oak tree about 50-60 yards
from us. I thought at first it was a Sea gull, then thought no, can't be that,
can't be a snowy owl either, they would perch much higher up.
I quick grabbed the binoculars off porch and sure enough it was a cockatoo!! It looked like a Sulphur crested one, but couldn't tell. Before I could get closer it took flight again. Heading east, South east. Near M-46.
I walked for an hour trying to spot it again taking food with. But so far no sight of it.
Thought I'd post this in case someone lost a parrot, Sorry didn't have time to grab camera ad take a pic, didn't want to lose track of it, which I did anyway, as it flew off quite a ways.
