Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
....my frustration has now turned to desperation.I do NOT need the stress this is causing me..now instead of anger it's tears :02:
Now I'm wondering if because I'm trying to teach her to fly,she is using it to her advantage to get to BB's home.
I don't think there is possibly a way that Amy can climb down a six foot high mansion and RUN sixteen feet or so,and CLIMB up BB's siding in three minutes time.
When Smokey was the owner of said house,in twenty-eight years I can count the number of times on one hand Amy would get on top. It stopped abruptly, when Smokes bit Amy's toes once  ( Smokey didn't take no BS from Amy) and when The Cockatoo Man was renting she hardly visited him either.
Now I'm thinking of keeping her locked up or take her out of the living room when she is out,OR rehoming her or BB and getting rid of Beebs house.

Anyone interested in adopting a middle-aged,friendly,talkative,EXTREMELY stubborn green parrot??:green::54:

Just wanted to drop in to offer some moral support! I know how the stress can be, and wanted you too know you have people out here hoping the best for you. I don't have much to add of help off the top of my head, but if you have ideas you need to bounce around, a chance to vent, or anything else I'm always only a message a way! feel free to throw stress stones at me!

Dude, sorry to hear about your green bird's obsession. I have no expertise but I do know we're all here to listen. Hopefully the Amazon experts will weigh in. I may have missed it but has Amy ever actually threatened/hurt BB? Not that that would merit over-confidence either way.............

I’m sorry you’re so frustrated! I wish I had more to offer than that.

I already have a couple of those. And one of them isn't all that friendly to all but his chosen one. Sorry.

But I do have sympathies, sharing a home with another of the "hot three" amazons, I really do understand how stubborn they can be when they decide to dig their talons in.

Never happen in a million years Jim LOL.

How about getting Beebs another cage and just leaving this one to Amy to sit on LOL? :)

Hi Jim, if it’s really causing you this much angst it might be time for a different approach and find ways of creating a barrier Amy can’t pass by.

That or separate rooms, or any myriad of options. Point is it’s time to get creative with living arrangements.

I too would try separate rooms. Perhaps only necessary for a while?

Actually Jim, I do think Amy could walk down her mansion to BBs house in 3 minutes or less. Of course she may have cracked the code and learned flying is the shortest time between two points!

Maybe Amy has just figured out
↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A Start.

(I hope some people get this joke)

Only problem here,is that my living room is the center of the house. This room I'm in now,is directly across from the living room where the Fids are located,so if I'm in here, the kids can easily walk across the hall to get to me. The other "spare" bedroom is down the hall, away from the living room, and isn't used except as storage, and poor Amy would kind of be isolated from the goings on..no tv for entertainment for her or radio noise.

What you mean like a wall? :D

Then we get Amy to pay for it!

may sound silly but is Amy doing anything on BB's cage? Or is he just hanging out? Really strikes me as a vie for attention considering how much BB got when he wasn't well

Amy just hangs out..plays with BB's toys or will taste his grub.

I did notice that she got on his roof the other day and he was with me...so BB doesn't even have to be there for her to go sit on the roof.

If only Amy could voice why he likes BB's cage so much. I'm hedging my bets on attention seeking, if I recall you had to spend a lot of time with BB at their cage which is what throws me onto that, and of course now Amy gets there and you come running! Sounds like a good game to me. Also there's the "grass is greener" element in that BB's cage isn't Amy's so it's instantly more interesting and fun
