Are Some Amazons Bad Singers

Freddie sings How Much is That Doggie in the Window, but it is NOT pleasant. He really is a terrible singer. Does this mean that he's mimicing the voice of the person who taught him, or can some Amazons really not carry a tune?

Usually yes. If you are a bad singer your bird will be one too. That is why I bought a Cd with someone else singing. I am so bad at singing. In my next life I will be an opera singer and then have several birds that can sing like me. Lol

I didn't teach him the song....I can actually sing fairly well, which is probably why I "cringe" when he sings this song. I'm going to have to get him started on another...Maybe he'll forget this one.

It sounds like Freddie will be better off if he can learn to imitate you instead of whoever taught him "Doggie in the Window." But a word of warning: my old Amazon, George, always seemed more attracted to bad singers than to good ones (the more off-key the better)-- and guess which he preferred to imitate!

My second eldest brother "Edmondo" is an opera singer, honestly jokes aside. Lives and sings in Italy.
I am now going to record one of his songs onto a CD for Mishka.
Let's see if she can sing in a male voice.
Let the games (well the song) begin LoL

First of all Mishka would not understand Italian......

Don't think Mishka would be into Nessun Dorma, Elucevan Le Stelle or The Holy City.

So I choose I Believe....... I will believe LoL if she sings this and in his voice.
