Imagine my surprise last night when returning Archie to his cage, he decided to make a beautiful, perfectly level flight across the entire living room and dining room, crashing not so gracefully into the patio door. The bird never flew more than a foot and a half without plummeting to the ground, and here he is pulling a Charles Lindbergh of about 40 feet.

ā€œOn your left, ladies and gentlemen, weā€™re flying past the glorious kitchen...and for Archie, youā€™re damn lucky everything was cold anyway.ā€

Called up CAV first thing this morning, and next available appointment?

July 22nd!

with you there- I have slashes all over my wrists! eek/lol

If Archie is capable of level flight, you need to take extra care when he is out that everyone observes flight rules. No open unscreened windows, and extra care when coming in or going out doors. Archie needs a 'real estate agent ' tour around the house, letting him tap his beak on windows and mirrors a few times. We always have people who have escaped birds because of the first, and birds who injure themselves or die from the second.
