This month's theme is April fools!

This month seems an appropriate one to celebrate "The Fool"... whether it's about our birds acting the fool, or us being played for fools by our birds. Either way, it's an inevitable part of being a parront... and we love them for it!

Please submit a short video or a photo of your parrot either "acting the fool" or "playing you for a fool". (No Photoshop this time around, please.)

No more than one entry per member, though you are free to post as many related "just for fun" photos as you'd like.

The winner will receive a Free One Year Premium Membership to Parrot Forums, and the winning photo will be displayed on the Home Page for the following month!

Submissions will be accepted from today, April 1st through Friday, April 27th. At the conclusion of the submission period, a 3 day poll will be held to determine the winner.

Hahaha! Thanks, April! That one always cracks me up. As low as I cut my hair nowadays, I couldn't tell you what she was grooming! Perhaps I should go back to my afro. Lol!

LOL, Gail, it seems like if they know something is annoying, they say it all the more. Salty has started to Scream "HELLLPPP" over and over, when Geri is cooking in the kitchen. Neither of us says this much and certainly never scream it, but he likes the sound of it I suppose. I hope RIval has earplugs handy when the RB starts to call him !

What a fun theme! I'm definitely going to try capture a video of Berry sneaking under the curtain in my room to the area she isn't actually allowed!! She recently worked it out. Definitely playing me for a fool...

This is not long after i first got him and found him taking toys apart. Id just reconnected this 2 minutes earlier then popped downstairs for a drink and came back to this lol. I really dont know how he does it.

Then this is apparantly a bird who is terrified of his swing but i caught him hence the expression lol. He's like ah well, ive just been messing with you this whole time x

He is always up to stuff like this daily. I sometimes sneak in the room to see what he is up too. Once i catch him though he gives the act up like with his swing. He was on it every day after i caught him lol x

Uh O. I'd see if you could teach Salty to holler something else! A few months ago, it was on the local news here that cops broke down the door of a local home after a UPS guy delivering a package heard a woman crying out for help. After getting inside, they realized- there was no woman, it was an amazon who's owner left the window open Worse, the bird wasn't even in distress, it was just vocalizing to itself while it's owner was at work lol.

Hey we didn;t teach him that, he musta picked it up from TV. The only sound word or song he's ever learned from us is "Little Brown Jug" ( becasue of the begining of the chorus - Ha Ha Ha ) and the snippet of Motzart . Every thing else Salty says or sings he has learned on his own

So here is our entry for April Fool. First Satly does his crazy laugh, and then he sings along with me playing the xylophone. Again, he taught himself to do this, he just started singing the phrase while I was messing around with his xylophone
