Apollo is home - now what

If your room is kinda dark. Make it brighter like the store, brighter light helps stimulate them to eat sometimes.. I'm out if ideas , but should be at the top if the threads so others will chine in. Maybe you should message EllenD, or silver sage they've hand raised before..

Time to write this again since Apollo stepped on my phone and erased it...

He's a lot more active now and playing with his toys and whenever I open the cage he jumps to me.Just still won't eat... I might just go to petsmart or petco or something and see if they have formula but I doubt it :c I could order some but it would take at least a day to get here if I paid for overnight shipping

*sigh* he was picking at the food a little but then a dog snuck into my room because I accidentally didn't close the door all the way and he dropped the food...

Aww! Sounds like he is adjusting, mane he just needed the time.. yes I think all the pet stores around ne gave the baby bird formula... Is he popping? If he picked at the millet and food, prior to doggy scare, maybe he is going to eat on his own fine ... Maybe start a bee thread saying hey Appolo just came home , isn't eating, maybe the peeps just aren't reading this thread???

okay I think I've gotten him to eat a little.

I made him a small bowl of oatmeal, it was just in this tiny plastic cup that's usually used for dipping sauces i think. he picked a little but then the bowl tipped over and he didn't like it. So I found a small plate that's used to hold gravy boats and moved the oatmeal onto there and sprinkled on some of his food (a light seed mix as well as roudybush crumble and some dried fruits/veggis/herbs), didn't seem interested. He just kept wanting to come out of the cage. So I set him up out of the cage with a sprig of millet and the plate and he ate a little and is now standing there grinding his beak and napping

Lincoln is jealously watching us but he's being a good boy and has been quiet today. I gave him his own bowl of oatmeal and some seeds xD

Forgot to answer your question, he is pooping still, it's slightly green but other than that normal

He still has shown no interest in food :/ I'm very concerned about that.

When I adopted Jonesy (Goffin too) from a friend it took him DAYS before I saw him eat and it freaked me out big time  you just have to wait it out. He certainly isn't going to starve himself when he knows food and water are readily available. You might have to give Apollo a couple days. don't forget,he is in a totally different environment now and has no clue what to expect.
Just talk softly to him. Be near him but not too near. He'll get the message that you're not going to kill him!

I'm still gonna get the formula, rather safe than sorry really. He seems to be a lot happier now and hasn't hissed at all and is chewing on toys. gosh new mom paranoia is a killer... Lincoln never gave me these problems he's always been a good eater.
