Hello! I was recently trimming my budgie's nails and noticed that one of them looked odd. Should I be concerned? I have attached a photo of the odd one and one that looks normal (sorry for the messy perch). Please let me know your thoughts!

Most likely just a bit of dry skin or he/she may have scraped it a little and roughed up the skin a bit. If your bird lets you touch it, you can dab a bit of coconut oil on the foot to moisturize it.

The nail itself being a little thickened could be the result of some slight damage to the nail. Likely not anything to be too concerned about!
