I went out today with my husband and daughter, to buy the prettiest little yellow canary with red eyes (ino)
As I understand if my male(who she will eventually be paired with)is split to ino- my chicks will be born with red eyes.
If he is not split to ino- the chicks will be born with black eyes...
in other words red eyes are autosomal recessive gene, and need to be paired with another bird split to ino....do I have this correct???
anyways she is very very pretty, now I just have to come up with a name for her
