In the same room as our FIDS.

Perjo is dusty and dry, it's in large part to the winter season and furnace being used everyday. I've given her a bath each day the past few but I don't know if that would be enough. I was thinking of bring a small humidifier into the room she spends 95% of her time in.

Same Here I've noticed a huge drop in my humidity since the weather has gotten colder here in Vermont. Let us know if you find a good deal. My local Bed bath and Beyond didn't have anything to great.

I've owned a small Honeywell unit for a few years and usually used in my bedroom only. I'm thinking it is better served on my first floor where Perjo resides. I've put a few bowls of water near my heat registers and it has seemed to help a little already.

Do you have an instrument that will provide you the humidity level in you house? If not get one that combos with temperature. What your goal is someplace between 45 and 55 with a temperature of 70 degrees. Humidity changes with temperature, hence the need to have both!

That will be a great target for everyone, including the house itself.

Be prepared.
I got a humidifier in hopes of helping my sick OWA.
My African grey now goes blub-blub-blub. the sound of the humidifier making bubbles as it sucks up water.
