any suggestions

today i brought a grass parakeet male approx 6 months old he is in his cage he has just sat there and not moved i think he is ok just quiet and settling in anyone who knows anything about these birds any advice would be welcome

I don't know about this species specifically but he is probably just settling in and getting used to his surroundings. He isn't all puffy or anything so he doesn't look sick, just kind of scared. You may want to either push the cage against a wall or cover part of the cage with a sheet or blanket so that he doesn't feel too exposed (if you haven't already - I can't see the whole cage in the photo). Very pretty looking bird!

yes i am going to cover him now as i am going out of the room , he has just been pecking at the cuttlefish so i am not to worried he is beautiful i will get some better pics when he has settled in
 
He's absolutely beautiful! Grass parakeets are always such pretty birds!
 
With my birds the first couple days I had them they were pretty much motionless. But I think that was because they were severly sleep deprived with the pet shop being under a remodel. But after the first day or two they were just normal birds playing with their toys.
 
I've never seen a grass parakeet before; he's gorgeous. Ditto on the advice above.
