I was curious to if anyone else on the forum had this kind of bird. I bought him from a breeder in PA. Apparently his parents were collected in Brazil by Outback Aviaries in California. He seems pretty cool. Likes music, insanely clingy and cuddly. Still a baby. The breeder was feeding a strictly seed mix and fruit to him. He was offered zupreme natural cockatiel sized pellets but did not seem eat them at the time. I bought him at 70 grams and now hes 67-68 a half a month later. He is flying around alot more and getting alot of activity. I love this little bird and want to make sure hes healthy. I am planning on switching him to harrisons pellets of the same size. His daily diet is his seed mix from the breeder, frozen peas, frozen carrots, frozen green bean, frozen corn and of course his zupreme pellets - 4 red seedless grapes - arugala and random fruits(most recently guava). Changed everyday with fresh deer park spring water. Am I on the right track? I was curious as to his 1 or 2 weight loss after I brought him home. He seems to be taking interest in the pellets which I am glad to see. So does anyone else have this kind of parrot and what is their regiment as far as activity and nutrition. I appreciate any input.
