Any recommendations for parrot training videos or books?

There are some in youtube .. or you can try bird tricks..
Try not to spend too much on books .. they basically keep saying the same thing..

I love the Barbara Heidenreich's videos...

Besides repeating so many things over, they confuse a person so much as well, not saying all of them, but the majority.

Watch a few videos on youtube as advised, a few good examples are shown. Try them out, and see what works for you. Trail and error, are the best..........

My best advise would be ask members on the forum, they have had first hand experience, many will give you different methods.

What the experts said about training a bird to talk, I disagreed with most of them.

Never look a bird in the eye when training them
When teaching Mishka new words, Mishka sits on my lap, his beak on my nose, staring each other in the eyes, he listens and learns new words each day, in that way.

I could go on and on, find a method that works for you both

Good luck

I personally love birdtricks. I have a few of their DVDs and they're so helpful. If you friend them on facebook there's a great community there too who help with any bird problems/questions!
