Fujiā€™s tongue has a black spot on it. He has always had it. I remember my lineolated parakeet also had this so it got me wondering? What color are your bird(s) tongue(s). Fujiā€™s is light pinkish with the black dot.

Interesting! Nigelā€™s tongue is all black, I think that is normal for greys.

Cytrynka's is charcoal black, too. Uniform color, no spots.

Yoda's tongue is mostly pinkish with some black speckles and what looks like a black stripe actually... he was quite disgruntled that I interrupted his neck cuddling time to open his mouth and look at his tongue... but he forgives me. :)

My GCC has a grey and black tongue, that way since I got her, like a pied tongue, I always figured it was part if the cinnamon color as her heet and beak are light

My Alexandrine's tongue is mostly pink with a black splodge on it...I think it's gross, but I can't stop looking at it!

Lincoln's tongue only has a black tip.

Not my picture but its normal in (male) ekkies

Of course my greyā€™s tongue is all black. Iā€™m fascinated by Kevin! He ā€œlicksā€ his beak (never seen that before) and itā€™s cute for sure.

lol----I accidentally pinched my cockatoo's tongue today WITH MY NAIL!!!
She seemed totally calm about it haha.
I was trying to grab a fleck of junk off of her beak and *pinch* haha

I just thought it was weird that Fujiā€™s had black spots but I guess it is common. I will need to ask my Avian vet next time why some birds have the spots. Unless any of the experts here know?
