I am a new conure owner and just have a couple questions. Clyde (my new jenday), likes banging his beak against the bars of his cage. Why is that, and is he going to hurt himself? Also he grinds his beak ALOT! Is that normal?

A lot of birds bang their beak against the cage bars. I think they find it fun to do and the noise it makes. The more attention you pay to him when he does it, the more he will do it. When they grind their beak is when they're tired and sleepy.
