Oh, my darling MartyPants, you just might be right. I have a couple that I'm winnowing for that special contest!
Well, the Christmas Month stated on clue here in the Great White North of Michigan and East of here as Canada sent a package of Winter Joy: Very Cold, Windy weather mixed with Lake affect snow. Right on schedule, the Power Failed with the first real blast of cold wind! An of course just after Sunset!
With great luck I had everything needed to connect the generator and restore light and heat to our home. As normal, HRH Julio was less than impressed as in his opinion, I had taken far too long!
The heavy winds, darkness and snow made for a remembrance of the Christmas Season that includes the Words: Baby its Cold Outside! And true to the words, it was very cold outside. Dark, cold and near 850 homes and business lost power that lasted for a bit over 7 hours.
Tonight its 45 degrees F here, not even a breeze and the snow has melded.
If you do not like the weather this time of year! Just listen to RB ring out some of his favorite songs and wait a few days and three Seasons will scream by!

This is hands down the BEST Christmas advert I ever saw, for British department store chain "John Lewis". Ten years on and I still tear up EVERY time!!

I'm about to leave my beloved budgies, all 19 of them (except Baby Joey is coming with us) for 5 long days! Our twice a day bird sitter is terrific and 10 of them will still be free to fly around the room (the main living area of my house. Bird safe) all day unsupervised, but they will miss us. They think we're just big budgies and members of the flock. We will worry and miss them so much but family duty calls. Let's just hope they don't think we've abaondoned them and that they don't make too much of a mess of my house.

For Baby Joey and my whole flock of budgies:
Budgies sing, are you listening?
On the floor. Poop is glistening
A beautiful sight, happy tonight Walking round with budgies in my hair
All around are my cute birds
