An update on Merle (with pictures).

He seems to be starting to talk. He said "Hello" a few days ago. He also keeps laughing when he's about to do something he shouldn't (like chew something).
Also he's been doing this weird thing where he moves his head down, pins his eyes and makes a noise. I've seen large Macaws do this too, but I don't know what it means.

I can't get over his eyes. They look like they're falling out.




Eating some seed. Still trying to get him to eat pellets...Look at how dark his beak is getting too.

That sounds normal for a Blue Crown. Rosco does that quite often. He usually makes a "honk" noise when he bows down like that.

Merle is really cute. I love how the young Blue Crowns look.
