When you think you have seen everything.

My husband watches too many cute baby owl YouTube videos and keeps saying he wants a baby owl! He's just kidding of course, but we love owls and have lots of them here in the woods of Maine, including barred owls like the one on the Christmas tree.

Back in the 60’s my father worked for Hughes in Culver City.
The plant had a dirt cliff in the parking lot and burrowing owls lived there.
I know it was wrong. I know NOW it was wrong.
But he caught a young owl and brought it home.
My memory of this … I was very little, less than 10 years old.

But I remember we had to release it, it did not take to captivity.
I do remember the interaction between the owl “uncle Howard” and our Siamese cat.
Cat stairs at bird with evil intentions.
Bird clacks beak in menacing manner.
Cat decided it is late for an important meeting.

Such fascinating stories! It’s incredible how animals like barred owls and Siamese cats carry such unique symbolism. Barred owl spiritual meaning symbolizing balance and insight, while Siamese cat spiritual meaning are thought to represent wisdom and intuition. It is amazing to think about the deeper meanings these animals hold in different cultures!

Beautiful. That's a beautiful memory for everyone to have. I too love owls. I have a pair that live near. They periodically hang out in my back yard trees.
