Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(
And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...like Kiwi..Amy is a foodie.
I prepared dinner, for myself, and the kids. I just had a bowl of Ramen noodles, and made them a plate for BB and Amys' nummy bowl.
BB had a little noodle (without the "flavor" packet) z couple corn nibs, grren beans,a piece of mac and cheese and a hunk of pineapple. I rested his plate on my desk,he really liked the noodles , took a bite of corn and beans and pineapple.
Amy was sitting on the top rung of the chair next to us,and I didn't have a place to set her bowl down,so I held it and told her to have dinner.
It was so neat just watching her eat, grunting "huh" as she bent down and stuffed her face in the bowl.
First, a couple good noshing on the noodles, then "digging" in the bowl with her beaky, looking for the nibs, and munching on 6 or 7 nibs, then picking up a green bean, eating 3/4 of a 2 inch long piece. she looked up at me,with a bit of mac and cheese on her beaky, then wiping it off on the chair rung.
She bent over again, coming up with a good sized piece of pineapple chunk, holding it in her hand, and meticulously eating every bit,as the juice ran down, and her eyes flashing and pinning with delight, totally enjoying herself,as I just held the bowl for her, asking if it was good and eat as much as you'd like. She ate for a good 6 or 7 minutes then pulled back.
I asked if she'd like dessert, and offered her a nutriberry, which she took without hesitation.
I thought it was pretty cool, just talking to her and watching as she seemed to really enjoy dinner with the family
It IS amazing on how much she can,and does, chow down, compared to BB
