Amigo scares the PG&E meter reader guy!

ok so wait im fairly new here.......your bird is loose in your yard? and can fly? how does this work? cant even let my dog out in the yard without losing her! I would love to know how you keep a cockatoo from wandering off.


I've been free flying Amigo for 2yrs. now. He sleeps in the house, most nights, sometimes he prefers his hole in the tree. He comes in during the day, when he wants to, he'll come to the window. I keep him in if the weather is bad. He has a large outdoor cage that always has fresh food and water in it and he'll use that when he wants.

He doesn't really wander off, he knows his territory. He will follow me and the dogs on our walks which, sometimes, take him out of his territory but he stays close to me, often times hitching a ride.

He's very territorial and wants to know EVERY thing that's going on in it!
 
that is awesome. i would love to hear the story on how this arangement came to be. I figure I can prolly find the post in the archives ima go look now.lol
